Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Webtools, a free collection of browser and server-based developer utilities. By using this site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What this service is

Webtools provides a set of independent tools — encoders, formatters, converters, generators, and testers — described on the home page. Each tool is provided as-is, free of charge, with no account, subscription, or usage tier. Some tools process your input on a server for the duration of a single request; others run entirely in your browser. See the Privacy Policy for exactly which is which and what that means for your data.

Acceptable use

Use these tools for lawful purposes only. Don't use them to process, generate, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is intended to harm a system or person you don't have permission to affect — for example, don't use the JS Obfuscator to conceal malware, or the Password Generator's output for an account you don't own. You're responsible for the content you paste in and for what you do with a tool's output.

No guarantee of availability

This site is run on a best-effort basis, without a service-level agreement. It may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice. Rate limits apply to the server-backed tools to keep the service usable for everyone; automated bulk use that circumvents them is not permitted.

Your content

You retain all rights to whatever you paste into a tool. For server-processed tools, your input is used only to compute and return that one result and is not stored, inspected, or reused afterward — see the Privacy Policy for details. You are solely responsible for having the right to submit whatever content you provide.

Advertising and third parties

This site is supported by Google AdSense, which may serve ads and use cookies as described in the Privacy Policy, and only once you've consented via the cookie banner. Google Fonts is loaded from Google's servers for typography. Neither the site nor its operator controls the content of third-party ads.

No warranty

This service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of results. You are responsible for verifying that any output — a hash, a converted file, a decoded token — is correct before relying on it, particularly for anything security- or production-related.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of this site is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the site or applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
